MTSS
Gretna Public Schools is utilizing a framework called Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) to support our students academically, behaviorally, socially, and emotionally. We have built these supports on the core expectations of kindness, accountability, and safety. Students have been taught how to be kind, accountable, and safe in all areas of the building and with the use of technology. Included in our MTSS framework is a behavior recognition program. Students can earn Dragon Dollars for demonstrating kindness, accountability, and safety. Students then have an opportunity to spend their Dragon Dollars at the Dragon Den for prizes and treats.

SPORTING EVENTS
At Gretna East and Gretna High School Sporting Events, keeping all attendees safe and promoting an enjoyable experience for all are our top priorities.
All middle school students have been taught the attendance expectations.
Please help us meet these expectations by communicating with your student/s and supporting the supervisors in attendance. It is highly recommended that students NOT attend sporting events without a responsible adult in attendance.
Middle school students must sit in the MS Section or with a responsible adult. Students are in attendance to watch the game and cheer positively for the Dragons!
CHEER FOR OUR GRETNA TEAMS and do not make negative comments towards the other team, their fans or the officials. Do not let your behavior take away from other fans’ ability to enjoy the game.
Gretna students are not to walk to the visitors side of the stadium.
If you leave the event, you are not allowed to return.
Administrators and teachers are present at sporting events; however, the number of staff members to supervise students is much lower than the number of staff members at school. It is highly recommended that students do NOT attend sporting events without a responsible adult in attendance. THANK YOU FOR YOUR EFFORTS TO HELP ALL ATTENDEES HAVE A SAFE AND ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE.
