Sign Club is officially back in session! 🤟
We’re excited to be meeting again and will have several more gatherings before the end of the school year. Miss W is back with us as well, ready to hang out and lend a helping hand!
At our first meeting back yesterday, we jumped into some fun review games to refresh our knowledge of the ASL alphabet—it was so great to be together again!
Here are the remaining meeting dates:
• April 13th
• April 27th
• May 4th
• May 11th
We can’t wait to keep learning and signing together!

🤟✨Sign Club “Silent” Lunch & a Special Send-Off✨🤟
Last Friday Sign Club enjoyed a fun silent lunch together while celebrating and saying goodbye (for now!) to our practicum interpreter, Miss W.
Miss W joined us at the start of second semester and has been such a wonderful part of our group. We’ve loved learning with her, practicing our signs, and sharing lots of laughs along the way.
While we’re sad to see her practicum time wrap up, the good news is… she’ll be back! 🎉
Miss W and Mrs. O are looking forward to restarting Sign Club on March 30th, when we’ll meet a few more times before the end of the school year. We can’t wait to continue signing together!
Thank you, Miss W, for your time, encouragement, and the joy you brought to Sign Club. 💙

Thursday was "Stick Around" pixel art in the library for Read Across America Week! The last two photos are where we started and where we ended for the day-there's still more work to do on our poster. Maybe it'll be done before break?!?

We had a team of 7th grade students compete in Battle of the Books-since we only had one GCMS team, we did virtual competitions with ACMS. The Giles team (Killer Duckies) were the champions! Congrats girls!

Yesterday was "Turn the Page Tuesday!" for Read Across America Week. Students got to come to the library to make bookmarks. We are taking Wednesday off, but will be back with activities on Thursday!

3rd Quarter 8th Grade Cupcake Wars is underway! Themes include: SpongeBob, Carnival, Ocean, Hawaiian, Backyard BBQ, Ice Cream Truck, Outer Space, and Minions.

For the first day of Read Across America Week, the library hosted a "Make it Monday" event. Students could create with Legos, Perler Beads, origami, or even just draw.
