Gretna Public School District
On Thursday, November 6, Stephen Mackey, co-author of The Locker Room and founder of 2Words Character Development, will return to Gretna for a Community and Parent Forum at Gretna High School. Mackey will share powerful insights on leadership, character, and ways adults can help guide the next generation to lead with integrity and purpose.
This event is open to the public and is part of a yearlong leadership initiative within Gretna Public Schools. Earlier this fall, Mackey met with middle and high school student leaders from across the district, including Aspen Creek Middle, Gretna High, Gretna East, and Pleasanton. He encouraged students to embrace their unique leadership strengths and to make a positive impact in their schools and communities. His message continues to inspire students to “lead where they are” and build a culture of excellence and respect.
The November 6 Community Forum extends that message to parents, caregivers, educators, and community partners. Attendees will gain practical tools to support student leadership and character growth at home, at school, and throughout the community.
Before the presentation, local organizations dedicated to health, safety, and family well-being will host exhibits designed to connect families with helpful community resources. These exhibits will provide information on topics such as youth wellness, emergency response, positive decision-making, and family support services.
